Dear Colleagues,
Together with Francesco Bromo and Paolo Gambacciani, I am inviting contributions to a proposed special issue on Artificial Intelligence in Parliaments.
The special issue examines the adoption and use of AI across parliaments and its consequences for parliamentary work, legislative capacity, internal power relations, representation, and democratic accountability. We welcome comparative research and in-depth studies of individual cases using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches.
The Journal of Legislative Studies has expressed preliminary interest in hosting the special issue, although this is not yet confirmed. Selected contributors may also have the opportunity to present their work as part of a planned panel at the IPSA World Congress in Rome in July 2027, as well as an online workshop to be held prior to the submission deadline.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is 20 October 2026. Full submission details are provided in the attached call.
Thank you very much for considering our request.
Best wishes,
Luca Pinto
on behalf of Francesco Bromo and Paolo Gambacciani
